Midnight Men is a highly thematic cooperative superhero game where players use their personal decks of Power Cards to neutralize the threats and plots initiated throughout the city by a Villain. The players must work together to stop the Villain before his/her Master Plot succeeds, or before the Terror level becomes unacceptably high. Hand, deck, and risk management are key aspects of game play. The heroes each have a unique starting deck of 15 Special or Super Power cards, the latter of which come in three levels of increasing potency. These cards are used by the players to act during the game - mainly to neutralize Threat cards by matching the symbols found on them with the symbols on their Power cards. Throughout the game, the players can upgrade their Super Powers (and unlock new ones) through the use of Valour Points accumulated by facing threats and neutralizing plots.
