Final Girl Frightmare On Maple Lane

This is a thematically perfect representation of the movie it's paying homage to. I like using the Dr. Fright killer at other locations to make it feel similar to some of the sequels. For example, play at the asylum from season 2 to make it a Dream Warriors scenario. I also enjoy the location. It's great with the Terror from the Grave vignette. This is probably my favorite from season 1.

A very good film box, that I bought after having a few plays with Happy Trails Horror. Dr. Fear is quite easy to defeat (maybe easier than Hans) when you figure out how he works, but the challenge is still fun, and the new mechanics are worth it. Nancy's machetes (and their 3 damages bonus) are a huge help when it comes to defeat this killer, especially since he has not many health points to begin with (only 9). If you like the Final Girl concept, this film box is a must have.

Dr. Fright/Mapple Lane offers some interesting alternatives such as gaining the trust of victims in their homes, the Boiler Room, and the Awakey Asleep states. The layout of the spaces also poses a different challenge that gives the game a very interesting appeal. A very good movie from series 1

Perhaps one of the easier Killers to face, Dr. Fright's low health means rush-down tactics work pretty well. Low health coupled with bonus surprise attacks also put the typical game against Dr. Fright on the shorter side, win or lose. The Awake/Sleep mechanic is excellent and thematic. The location and the Final Girls in this box are also among my favorites.
