The game is battle between an evil hunter who wants to shoot the dragons and its keepers. In this fantasy Dragon universe, there are the hunter and the keepers. Each player is the Chief of a tribe of Dragon keepers defending the dragons from attacks by the Evil Hunter The hunter wants to see those cute dragons dead, but they need to pass the dragon keepers. The keepers belong to different tribes but together they have the common goal of protecting the Dragons. The keepers use magic in their duels with the Evil hunters. Dragon Keepers was designed along with my youngest daughter, Catarina. She is the one who knows a lot about Dragons and I could have never been able to do this design without her. Dragon Keepers brings two different versions in the box. The first versions are directed to 4+ children and its a very easy game that takes about 5 to 10 min. Small kids version: Plays from 2 to 6 players - 5 to 10 min. The hunter rolls dice to hit the dragons and the players choose what which, from the attached dragons they want to defend. The game ends when one player manages to defend heroically 4 different dragons or if one dragon gets 3 hits.the winner is the player with more successful defenses. Advanced version: Plays from 2 to 4 players - 10 min per player. This is a bigger version of the game with a semi co-op card/dice game mechanics at its core. The game is played in rounds until a tribe manages to hold the hunters attack through a deck of cards that are drawn every round. Players have 4 different actions to choose: Defend, Cure, Train and Attack. Those actions are limited and they need to cooperate and organized as a group to manage to stop the hunters attacks during the game. The game ends if a dragon is killed, and everyone loses. Or if players manage to run trough all the deck. In this last case the winner will be the player with the most points.
