In Evidence, as ambitious journalists, you go on a search for the mysteries of this world. You've been researching for a long time and now you're pretty sure: the mysterious beings from the traditions exist! But you need concrete proof of their existence. Therefore, you search the legendary places of these mysteries for them. While doing your research, you should think carefully about who you trust. Anyone could become your adversary who steals your place on the front page... Evidence is a deduction and bluffing game. The players' task is to find out how true a certain mystery really is. There are six mysteries. Each mystery has six clues with values between -1 and 4. At the beginning of the game, a clue is laid out hidden to each mystery; this is its assigned proof. The higher the value, the more probable is the existence of the mystical being. The value also indicates the victory points that this mystery can bring you at the end of the game. All players have six clues as hand cards. The cards reveal through their backs to which mystery they belong, and this information is accessible to all players. Only the owner of the card knows the value of it until they reveal it. Players now play one hand card face up each turn and place it on the matching mystery. The more cards are exposed, the clearer it becomes for everyone which value the one proof of each mystery has. Research cards belong to each mystery and represent the multiplier of the value of a piece of evidence at the end of the game. There are also action cards: the hiatus for the basic game, which allows you to swap your own research cards with others, and the professional actions for a more strategic game.
