Hidden Paths is an abstract/puzzle game that involves two lost explorers wandering a grand and wondrous forest. In their travels, they uncover and score paths that lead them closer to the exit. When the exit is revealed, the first player to score onto or move onto the Exit tile with the most points wins the game! In Hidden Paths, players will be viewing the Clearing tile on which their player pawn are on and determining if they are able to create the route from it within the Forest to score victory points. To score a route, players look to see if their pawn and clearing tile are on a starting route marker denoted by a gold marker on the clearing tile. Players will then visualize the route on the clearing tile with the tiles in the forest. If the route fits within the forest grid, the player may spend an Action card to ‘score’ this route. They will then travel their pawn to another gold route marker listed on the route of the clearing tile. If the clearing tile they move or score onto has not be revealed, they will reveal it immediately. The player will then score victory points based upon the victory point notated on the clearing tile and/or matching both colors and symbols on their scoring Action card. —description from the designer
