En Block and Key, los aventureros colocan bloques de arcilla 3D en un área de juego elevada centralizada, con el objetivo de completar sus propias cartas de solicitud. El desafío se vuelve más interesante ya que cada jugador está limitado a su perspectiva "2D".

En cada turno, los aventureros pueden dibujar nuevos bloques del suministro o colocar UN bloque en el espacio compartido. Luego pueden verificar si han completado alguna carta de solicitud antes de llenar su mano.

El primer aventurero en completar el número de cartas de solicitud requeridas por el conteo de jugadores termina el juego. Se contarán los puntajes y se nombrará a un jugador como el vencedor.
