Backed this on Kickstarter. As everyone else has already said, the artwork is amazing and the rhymes are funny. But beyond that, it's a fun, quick game that encourages you to think. My kids love it - it's fun watching them try to figure out the cause and effects of each card they can play on their turn, and even giving out advice to other players. As an adult's game, I'd rate this a 7, but for a children's game it gets a 9.
Check out my review of Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule! below. http://jlnelson73.wordpress.com/2014/06/05/goblins-drool-fairies-rule-review/
The artwork and game play are both charming. I have rated this so highly because this game encourages my developmentally disadvantaged nephew to read. My nephew has difficulty reading and he's usually reluctant to try because his overall skill is so low. He also has a speech impediment. This weekend, we played Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule together and my nephew really enjoyed the experience. Additionally, he put enthusiastic effort into reading the cards and rhyming them with others (as part of gameplay). This was a rewarding experience for both of us!
Love everything about this game, great artwork, simple mechanics but surprising depth, especially the solitaire version. I now play the solitaire version to banish all goblins (instead of just the ones in my hand) which can be difficult. Looking forward to it's release.
