Memoir '44 Refresh

One of my first board games, and the game that made me fall in love with the hobby. I love how easy it is to teach and to play. The expansions add some complexity, so if you add several at times, it's far more complex and arcade like. I own every expansoion, and love them all. You can play on any front of the war, and with all kinds of solkdiers, vehicles and planes. Amazing game. I just wish that they would release an Official Solo expansion. It would sell like crazy...

Lot's of dice that can really hurt you. The cards can hurt you. Scenarios are unbalanced ( some of them at least) . But it's so fun and there are plenty of expansions to spice up your game. Maybe too much of them. Great time.

This is a simple Commands and Colors game, but expansions can really add to the complexity if you want. I might prefer Napoleonics for some of the detailed rules, but this one is way easier to teach. It actually gives me a little bit of a Heroscape experience in much less time.

A perfect 10. Everything about this game is brilliant. Very playable and thematic. Not too complex. When its your turn, you only have the choices in the cards, however you still have to make a strategy. Its fantastic. Games are perfect length too. The expansions bring in new features and rules that change up the environment a bit. Highly reccommend.

Have all the expansions and have played 100+ games. While there is plenty of strategy, it is highly luck driven with the dice rolling. But if you put that aside and just enjoy the game with some beers and a mate or two, it's a brilliant light war game, huge replayability.
