My first game played, I was sunk by a torpedo bomber. Just goes to show, one bad roll changes everything! Great game.

Well covers the radar picket destroyers prolonged battle against Japanese kamikaze during the Battle of Okinawa. Randomness of attack vectors, damage and damage control as well as other randomizing factors (e.g. radar works) make the game enjoyable and re-playable.
Great solitaire game. Not too heavy, but detailed enough to stay engaged. Lots of dice rolling on charts to determine events, but that is pretty well par for the course with strictly solitaire games.
If you want an easy to follow wargame to enter this genre or just to enjoy something cool without the fuss of too many details and bad rule books to look for then this is the game. Easy to learn, to read, to follow steps everything is just user friendly. It is not easy on the gameplay part because the enemies could crush you in a snap but in the learning curve it is way easier than say an Uboat leader or something like scythe maybe those games are very steep in the learning process.
It's a Steve Dixon game, what more do you want to know? Well thought out, played tested, and strong narrative.
