Assyria

Before they united into one of the great empires of history, the ancient Assyrians spread as smaller nomadic tribes along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. There they fished, farmed, and thrived, despite the constant danger of flooding. They claimed new land, built magnificent ziggurats, and cultivated their influence over neighboring civilizations. So bring your offerings and gather your gold! May your steps find favor wherever they lead you.

The goal of Assyria is to have the most victory points (VP) at the end of the game. Points are mainly earned by building huts and ziggurats, making offerings, and increasing one's influence. In each round, players bid for turn order, spread out on the map, and perform various actions. After the third and sixth rounds, a flood occurs, washing away everything along the two rivers. After the last flood, the player with the most points is crowned the winner!
