Description Description

192 color pages Bestiary for Symbaroum The ruin appeared to us like a mirage, just as the Mist of the Plague dissolved in the middle of our breathless escape. Behind us, those who were hunting us slowed their pace... neither the Primordial Beast of the Plague nor the crawling, clawed, and slimy swarms wanted to move away from the milky abysses of the fog bank. We did not stop. Although the asymmetrical entrance had sunk into the ground and was covered with plants, the broken pyramid before us, almost completely devoured by the Davokar, seemed a safe place to rest. We forced our way through the vines, climbed down with ropes, and let fear and corruption leave our minds; the tense veins on Oleana's pale cheeks whitened as panic ceased to grip her gaze. Sunlight managed to penetrate through some cracks in the ceiling and fell on an imposing column in the center of the room, made of simple gray stone and whose surface was engraved with strange signs, almost hypnotic in their worn splendor. We had almost covered half the distance separating us from it when Oleana grabbed my arm and stopped me. "Like Beasts of the Plague in the mist..." I thought as they emerged into the light, surrounding us completely; almost human in appearance, naked, and with arachnid jaws, gnashing with hunger. While Oleana pushed me toward the column, I knew I was about to die. However, I did not give up, I climbed it, and my father's words still echoed in my ears: "In the Davokar there is only one rule: whatever happens, never give up!" The Symbaroum Monster Codex makes the settlements, forests, and valleys of the Davokar region more dangerous than ever! In these pages are contained more than a hundred creatures, monsters, and abominations: some well known, others mentioned only in legends and tales; some perpetually hungry, but there are also those open to dialogue; some presented in detail, others provided only with brief descriptions. Along with guidelines to create your own creatures, the content of this bestiary will provide material for hundreds of hours of gameplay!
