Cartographers Map Pack 1: Nebblis – Plane of Flame

This map pack is always a great addition. Having to contend with lava flow from a volcano adds just a little extra variability!

My favorite expansion so far for cartographers - without changing the core game dramatically, adds plenty of extra choices and ways to fill the map, frequently helpful but not always. Also it's fun thematically adding lava to the game and thinking about how it affects the world you're creating.

Really like this expansion. It’s really simple to integrate and honestly feels like it helps more than damages. You can use it to fill in rows and columns to help complete them for various challenges and of course use it to take out enemies!

A fun, easy-to-implement expansion/map that generates spaces that are destroyed by an erupting volcano as the game evolves. As you have a lot of say-so where the volcano erupts, you can usually make it work to your advantage to maximize your reputation stars. It's nice that all of the map packs can be used with either the original Cartographers or Cartographers: Heroes. What is not nice is that the solo version of this expansion has scores that skew too high, whichever version of Cartographers you play with.

Really adds more depth to the base game. Got higher scoring too! But that may have been the luck from the base cards? Really good to have this adaption. Would be good as a wipe clean surface for reusability.
