Hens

Little Rocket Games is a company my Italian Girlfriend has introduced to me and Hens is a brilliant showcase of their work - it's like a simplified version of castle combo, a nice quick game and the perfect filler. Easy to teach and play and loads of strategy - the hens are adorable and it makes me miss keeping chickens. Cards are really high quality and rules were simple and straightforward. There's a solo that's quite good as well.

Quick card game. The rules are very simple, but you still have to think about your decisions. You can also gamble to get the right card to fulfill your target. Suitable for children and adults. 2 player game takes about 15-20 minutes. The illustrations are awesome, you can't be angry with the hens. I also own the bonus cards - all hail the predator chicken

This is, on the face of it, a very simple game. Collect hens of certain types. However in the “laying” of the cards the picking and the placement of your cockerel it gets very challenging. Friends can pick it up quickly in the first game and then play competitively the next. There aren’t lots of parts or a massive board. It’s a nice compact family type game.
