This game has a delicious amount of depth & complexity. One of the THE best “Roll & Write” games (OK “Flip & Write) to date.

Descrizione
Rediscover the joy of "Welcome To…" with a new theme and new mechanics.
The game plays with a set of two different sheets (one dedicated to the map, the other is used to keep track of the score and objectives) where you'll have to build and open casinos in the streets, hotels in avenues, create golf courses, give performances to the tourists, move limousines for V.I.Ps, in order to build the greatest and most entertaining city and win the game!
Welcome To New Las Vegas keeps the same roll-and-write dice-without-dice mechanic from "Welcome to your new home": you flip cards from three piles to make three different action sets with both a casino number and a corresponding action from which everyone chooses one ; you use the number to fill in a casino on your street in numerical order. And everyone is racing to be the first to complete public goals. There's lots to do and many paths to becoming the best resort architect in Welcome To New Las Vegas!
Because of the communal actions, game play is simultaneous and thus supports large groups of players. With many varying strategies and completely randomized action sets, no two games will feel the same!

The same mechanics as the original Welcome to..., but with added stuff on top so it can only get better! Quite complex on the first play as there are A LOT of things to take into account, but easier in the following plays. A great sequel that keeps the original spirit but gives a nice variety :) Any more complex and it would probably have been a miss.

This game is wildly underrated. One of the best "roll & write" games out there. Brilliantly crafted. The way players can grab the reins and take control of the pacing of the game feel unparalleled to me. There are so many deliciously painful decisions about what to prioritize. I find the addition of the "evens & odds" a truly brilliant extra ingredient to add to the "Welcome To" puzzle. Even the integration of the theme just clicks and feels "write" in this one! Give it a try on BGA - the rules take a bit to digest but it's well worth the investment!

This is what I wanted Welcome to... to be after so many plays with the original!
9.5/10
2020-12-18 1x 3p(o) 2x 2p(o): 8.5 2021-01-17 many more online plays incl solo: 9.5 much trickier and rushed than original game, puzzle-like in solo mode and demands just the right amount of attention
