A MUST. This expansion cranks Space Base to 11. Even if you're not into the whole campaign/legacy/turn-teaching-the-game-into-a-story mechanism of slowly rolling out the new mechanics (which works well here, BTW -- don't skip it unless you must) rip open all the boxes and bags and shuffle in the cards. You'll be glad it's there.
Expansion contains new cards and new game mechanics. There is also a "campaign mode" that introduces each new mechanic and set of cards together in a cool and interesting way.
More to add into this great game. Nothing mind bending so far in this legacy/esk addition. Still something about me spending money then being told not to open something....I really like. Is that weird? Always play with this expansion added in. No longer tracking plays
If, like me, you ignored this because of the "legacy" nature, DON'T. It's excellent and really it's just a way to introduce new cards to your game with a fun story. If you like the base game then you need this.
Never would have thought to turn Space Base into a legacy-style game, but this expansion does the job nicely! Very easy to understand too if you’re already familiar with the base game.
