Antarctica. Huge meteor with some form of extraterrestrial life hits the ground somewhere in the iced wasteland. American government sets up a secret facility which goal is to examine microbes present in there. But something goes wrong. Huge storm damages the station, destroying life-saving systems. Alien microbes are set free and start to fight each other. People start to freeze and die. The last living survivor, being afraid of what they could do to humanity, initiates a self-destruction procedure. There are 4 minutes left... Chromosome is an asymmetrical, tactical board game for 2-4 players. As an alien microbe not aware of destruction being so close, you struggle to survive and escape the laboratory. Each of 4 species has 4 general actions and 4 unique actions to use during its turn. You'll use them to spawn your microbe, fight other microbes, manipulate energy, create radioactive spaces and finally to mutate - get new genes (4 different types) that will help you to fight better, grow faster and overcome your opponents. Your goal is to create the most effective set of genes that might be different every time you play. You'll win the game and escape the station if you'll manage to have more population tokens on the board and more enemy microbes destroyed than any other player.
