Dungeons & Dragons: Legend of Drizzt Board Game

Similar with the [i]Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game or Wrath of Ashardalon Board Game[/i]. These three titles are the best in the series and can be mixed. They support any number of players. This game adds new goodies (love it's miniatures), scenarios, better rules and a new mode to playing. Wonderful and functional set of tiles! The easiest title in this series because the Heroes are very strong (and Drizzt insanely strong). One of the best [color=red]solitaire[/color] games in my collection (or two player co-op). I play with two heroes. Mayday sleeved.

Pros : You get a lot for your money - high quality & numerous miniatures, with loads of cards & markers with high quality illustrations Excellent quality components Relatively well written rule & scenario book Superb theme Cons : Personally I would prefer a little more complexity & more miniatures on the board at a time. I do find after a full game you've only used a small percentage of the miniatures but I suppose that's how it retains high replayability Complexity : 5/10

I now give all of the D&D Adventure Series games a 10. Take a couple of house rules, throw them in with some fan made content, mix all the sets together and it really is a great game to play. Not too heavy so I can play through an adventure in the evening after a long day of work, yet definitely not predictable with varying scenarios to play and interesting decisions to make as each monster type plays slightly differently. These games have really grown on me and play well solo or with a small group. I'm really glad that the designers behind this continue to keep the core rules in place even as they make slight adjustments over time. Excellent games.

One of our fav games, in our sweet spot between complexity, theme (Drizzt!!!), quality, epic and replayability. Relatively easy to create own adventures, I'd suggest users to do not hesitate on uploading their adventures, we're eagering for more!

I don't own or tried the other titles in this series so I can't comment about them, but as far as this one is concerned, I can say that it fully meets what I expect from a game: get fun!!. The mechanics are simple, the deployments are very fast and each scenario presents a different challenge. It reminds me a lot of the old days of role-playing (saving the distance, of course). The components are of quality and the graphic design and illustrations, although they could be improved, also have that classic D&D touch of a lifetime. A game that I feel like playing at any time.
