Descriptif

Dans ce jeu primé, les joueurs incarnent des Grandes dans l'Espagne médiévale. Le pouvoir du roi faiblit, et ces puissants seigneurs se disputent le contrôle des différentes provinces. Pour ce faire, vous recrutez des caballeros (chevaliers) dans votre cour et les déplacez ensuite sur le plateau pour aider à prendre le contrôle des provinces. Après chaque troisième tour, les régions sont scorées, et après le neuvième tour, le Grande avec le plus de points est déclaré vainqueur.

I absolutely adore this game, especially with friends at 4/5 players. It is easy to teach, yet offers immense depths due to the highly interdependent gameplay. Due to natural balancing mechanisms built into the design, it always keeps an intense fight till the very end. It will also lead to quite some politics around the table, with players trying to influence others decisions in their own favor. To me, this will be an eternal 10/10. Very much prefer the newer version though, as it offers far better readability.

Amazing game. Loved every single play, such an amazing experience. The gameplay has a lot of tension, striving, manipulating, it hits every time and delivers a great experience with your friends. The rules are clear, but not necessarily clear to all players which can create some misplays. Love the grande and tower.

I've only played once so far, but this was a big success with my group. Fantastic ratio of strategic depth to rule complexity and lots of good player interaction. I have the 2023 Hans im Glück edition and I find the components and art really impressive. The colors look beautiful and everything is elegant. My friends picked up the game very quickly and were having fun right away.
