Biblios is a 10/10. this gives the possibility to play it at 5 player? even greater.

A fantastic reimplementation of Biblios with only a few minor rule tweaks that include a second place scoring and can now play 5. The drafting mechanism of looking at cards 1 at a time and determining whether they go to the central offer, the second half auction, or to your own hand is wonderful. Then you have to use the cards you've collected to bid on auctioned cards in the second half is just brilliant. Great, great stuff, no matter which version you have. Really enjoy seeing this on BGA and am happy to have the opportunity to play it there whenever I want.

Jul22: just brilliant. Don’t know why I don’t rate this a ten. Maybe I will. I need to play Biblios again to see which version I prefer (this may look nicer and plays to 5 but is fiddlier) but what a design. Just enough tactics, strategy and luck. Just enough clever play and crazy moments all mixed together. Love it. What a card game. Why hasn’t this design won heaps of awards?

POUR LE ROI (ET MOI) est très malin. L’ambiance autour de la table est joyeuse et détendue, malgré les coups fumants de certains adversaires. Biblios is a great game that I've owned for years, and this game is a straight-up improvement. The look of the game is probably the biggest improvement here. The old version is dark and boring looking. The new version has just as generic of a theme, but the overall look is much nicer. The gameplay is also improved. The game can now play to 5 players, and there are points awarded for second place, which opens the gameplay options by moving away from the all-or-nothing gameplay of the original. Great game, finally in its definitive version.
