Gazebo Travel Case

The deluxe version is a marvel. While most games' "travel editions" are smaller, flimsier, cheaper, this is a luxurious, beautiful object to bring out, touch, and play. Absolutely beautiful advancements on Qin's original mechanics, this is really the perfect package. I want Bitewing to bring this treatment to even more games, someone give them the rights to Samurai, Tigris & Euphrates, and Through the Desert, ASAP.

I can’t give this a rating yet because I haven’t played it but Qin is one of my top 5 favorite Knizia’s out of over 160 Knizia’s played. A rare 10 rating for me. I’ve played it over 70 times and taught it to dozens of people. I’m already sure I’m going to buy this but if this just made it better, I don’t know what I’ll do. Thank you Knizia for revisiting this and thank you Bitewing for bringing this back! Purchased with deluxe dominos (and added a second set of deluxe dominos in case I want to proxy Qin in a smaller package. Edit: I've now played it and love it. It's everything Qin does but different. Like apples and oranges. Both great.

Early impressions. Deluxe edition is gorgeous. The rules breeze light and the decisions delicious, tight and mean. At the moment, a 10/10 according to the BGG rating scale. I'll see if it holds up.

Dominoes are such a satisfying game piece — the way they feel in your hand and nestle together on the board — but few games do them justice. I believe Gazebo is a worthy contender for the greatest domino game ever designed. The game is dead simple — play a domino from your hand next to any other on the board — but the strategic depth hits the sweet spot. (Disclosure: I am the publisher, but now you know why I love this game :)
