Dans Kodama: The Tree Spirits, vous serez appelés à prendre soin de votre petit Kodama, l'esprit de l'arbre. Pour le rendre heureux, vous devrez cultiver au mieux votre grand arbre, le faisant grandir de saison en saison avec le bon mélange de fleurs, d'insectes et de configuration des branches. Placez les cartes de branche de manière créative, faisant croître progressivement votre tronc initial. Faites également attention à laisser l'espace nécessaire à la croissance des branches lors des saisons futures, sinon vous risquez de ne pas pouvoir faire augmenter les branches qui le constituent. À la fin de chaque saison, un des Kodama vous donnera des points de victoire en fonction de la façon dont vous avez cultivé votre arbre et de ses préférences. Qui réussira à satisfaire le plus grand nombre de ces paisibles esprits de la nature?
