In Tea & Rum i giocatori lottano per la vittoria servendo la Corona oppure diventando il più grande Re dei Pirati. Nel corso di cinque round si potenziano le proprie risorse e si posizionano con cura i lavoratori per realizzare le proprie ambizioni.
Bisognerà dimostrare fedeltà alla Corona o unirsi alla ribellione per dominare i mari, mantenendo nascoste le proprie intenzioni: irritare la Corona o il popolo può compromettere le possibilità di vittoria. Alla fine della partita solo due giocatori trionferanno, mentre gli altri due saranno sconfitti.

I have played this at Dice Tower West and the Gathering (twice). A heavier euro with some really interesting twists (2 paths 2 victory with potentially 2 winners, a fun worker placement/unplacement mechanic & an intriguing trading mechanic) and fairly thematic for a euro. While heavy, I think it is less heavy than the 4 weight would suggest. I'm excited to see the published game (I was playing a production ready prototype).
Played the game, and it was really cool! There are several viable strategies and some fresh mechanics. I love the fact that there are two separate victory point tracks. The worker placement aspect is refreshing and feels different. It's a buy for me, and I already know who I'll be playing it with. I bet you know they'll buy it too!
Every choices are important. Each decisions is significative. Very simple mechanisms but with a deep impact on all your game. I totally fall in love of this game. Created by the same author than kronologic and Turing Machine. A very nice gameplay and a very good sensations. I will preorder it on the website for Essen spiel fait.
This is an upcoming game coming out in the fall. If you like big strategy games with unique twists, then put this on your radar! It’s best at 4 players because the unique twist is that there are two winners each game. One player will win foe being the best pirate, and another will win for gaining favor with the crown. You will get two types of points throughout the game and you’ll keep them secret in your little chest, so you never know exactly what people are going for or if you are beating them. It’s some really nice tension.
