Descriptif

Dans The Great Heartland Hauling Co. (initialement annoncé sous le nom de Over the Road), les joueurs prennent le rôle de camionneurs de moyenne distance dans le Midwest, essayant de gagner leur vie en transportant des marchandises pour de grands fournisseurs. Les joueurs se rendent dans divers endroits du cœur de l'Amérique, ramassant et déposant des marchandises en utilisant des cartes correspondantes de leur main. La plupart des emplacements ont des marchandises locales qui nécessitent moins de cartes pour être chargées ; d'autres emplacements peuvent payer un supplément pour ces marchandises mais peuvent également nécessiter plus de carburant et de temps pour y arriver avec la cargaison. Avec un espace limité dans chaque remorque et seulement cinq cartes en main à la fois, les joueurs devront gérer habilement leurs ressources, ainsi que jouer les cotes et tenter leur chance pour être le meilleur camionneur sur la route.

The Great Heartland Hauling Co. offre beaucoup de valeur de rejouabilité grâce à l'utilisation de cartes pour créer une configuration de plateau variable à chaque partie. Le jeu comprend 60 cubes de marchandises, quatre camions en carton épais et 46 cartes de ressources - nécessaires pour le ramassage et la livraison - qui sont tirées d'un plateau de draft partagé, ainsi que 20 cartes de carburant, qui sont utilisées pour se déplacer dans le Heartland.
