Perfect game! A wonderful blend of perfect information and enough chance to make you pivot when the dice foil your plans. HIGHLY interactive as there is only one turn for each character per round and you can manipulate taking it twice in a row. The scores progress in value just right so that the choice between characters is the same value. Just the right size and components. Another 2p version surpassing the OG!

First played at UKGE June 2022, bought at Travelling Man, Leeds February 2023. Superb two-player points salad with a basic roll & move mechanism that still requires choices to be made.

Easily one of our favorites. Simple and easy to set up but has enough strategy to make each play interesting.

I love Tokaido Duo - the dice selection system creates some incredibly rich decisions. I enjoy having 3 different characters to manage, and the way each of them work in unique ways. The restriction of moving exactly the number rolled on the die adds a lot to the tension, in a great way. I also enjoy the solo mode, as it operates so smoothly. This is a great 2-player dice game.
