Ive gotten the chance to play the characters, observe the card, and components. I think Restoration Games knocks it out the park. Not recommended as a starting set because their is complexity in how to play these characters good, but definitely a good addition to anyone who has already gotten into the games, and is familiar with the Unmatched system.
A very good set, I appreciate that Restoration Games took time to embrace the complexity of American and did not shy away from it.
For anyone upset with my "early" rating...I playtested it. I know the game/set well. //Alright, have played the finished copy several times now. I really, really like Wyatt Earp. I thought it would be mostly for the Tombstone references but the character's deck has some interesting and fun mechanics and nuances. John Henry is tough! Bigfoot combined with Sinbad. George Washington has those killer cards and those annoying (if you are fighting against him) ruse tokens. I haven't played as Rosie (in her final state) but I've fought her a couple times. She tough. Her mech suit is pretty sweet. An amazing set!
I love the Unmatched System and this is an enjoyable set. John Henry is particularly fun to play with his combination of fast movement and strength.
