HIMIKI is a game that transports us to the fascinating mythology of Japan with its imagery and setting. Each player impersonates a Yamabushi who are a kind of warrior wizards who fight using the power of the Yokai, the monstrous creatures that emerge from the underworld.
Make no mistake that the elements the Yokai fight with are water, fire and wood, but it is the observation and strategic use with which these elements are brought into play that determines the outcome of the competition. The Yokai cubes on the game board can be flipped or rotated so that the element that appears on the face adjacent to the opposing cube has the prevailing power.
