Il nuovo gioco di Carl Chudyk è un viaggio sulle innovazioni dall'età della pietra fino a giorni nostri.
Ogni giocatore costruisce una cività basata su varie tecnologie, idee e avanzamenti culturali, tutte rappresentate da carte.
Ognuna di queste carte ha un potere unico che permette futuri avanzamenti, di acquisire punti o anche attaccare altre cività.
Ma fate attenzione perché le altre civiltà potrebbero beneficiare delle vostre stesse innovazioni che avete realizzato! Pianficate quindi bene la vostra cività e non lasciatevi ostacolare dalle altre, così che otterrete la vittoria!

Nothing I can write that hasnt been said. I started with a physical copy of 4th ed. But play 3rd everywhere online. Its helped me to understand the revision but I love both. Will look out for a physical copy of 3rd because both ver. are amazing.
2018: Over three games I’ve gone from being super stoked about this game to being fairly cool on it. It really is a lot. Funnily overwhelming. —— 2025 spring: Innovation is a game that feels exponentially more fun with every play. I’m 15 plays in now. How high will this bad boy fly? At the same time it’s just an exhausting baroque mess. What the heck is this?! —- 2025 fall: 50 plays on now, raising it from 7 to 8. — October: Who am I kidding. Innovation is a 10. We own the Ultimate version but have yet to try any of the expansions. My brother owns the 3rd edition and I’m working on getting him hooked.
This game is great. It's endlessly replayable, and works well at small numbers. The most I've played with is 4 and we've not played the parley rules for larger numbers, but I'm not sure the game suits it. We've played with the Echoes expansion and the Figures expansion, and enjoyed them both. We recently acquired the Ultimate edition and plan to play all the expansions at some point. They all seem to add something unique without interfering with the original formula.
This game allows such a fun board building game, while allowing for wild swings and strategic play. The expansions open up so much more for the game too - slowing it down a bit to all for strategy to show through. There's still an ever-present risk that someone who is behind will end up with a lucky draw or something that will pull them back within reach. Almost all of the games feel close and competitive. Absolutely one of our top 3 games of all time.
I don't know how I've gone so long without ever playing this. It is simply amazing and is probably the best example of a small box card game I've ever seen. Quickly shooting up to being one of my favourite games and I want to get the ultimate edition (Own base 4E)
