Zombie Kidz Evolution

Wow! No wonder it’s #1 ranked in Children’s. But I’d argue it’s also easily a family game. The theme is kids, but it’s fun for grown-ups as well. If the first few plays seem boring, just wait…the envelopes add complexity. A great game where you can vary the rules according to who is playing. I gave it a 10, but the rule book is not super clear on some things. You’ll need BGG forum. Truly a cooperative game.

Premier jeu avec des règles évolutives auquel nous avons joué avec notre enfant de 6 ans. Excellente expérience. Le jeu en soit a des règles simples mais propose tout de même du défi. Mais l'excellence du titre provient de l'évolution des règles et des personnages, du suivi des parties, des défis et récompenses, qui ont émerveillés notre enfant et nous ont permis de passer de très bons moments en famille.

The game has really grown on me. Quick to set up and quick to play. It was easy for my kid (9) to learn because the player powers and baddie varieties were added bit by bit. My kid has been asking to play before school in the morning. We’ve opened the last envelope, and I’m still interested in trying out set-ups we haven’t played yet.

Perfect game for kids learning to play board games, works well with my 5 year old. She's not got a sense yet of how to play an "optimal" turn with the hidden envelope content added, but the game can have its difficulty scaled progressively by adding in more and more of the hidden content as necessary. So it's probably got a year or two of life in it yet, despite having played it a dozen times already. She's very excited to introduce it to friends when they're over. Am now buying as a gift for my daughter's friends' birthdays - when they are logically inclined / patient.

Ce jeu mérite bien de figurer parmi les nominés à l’As d’or 2019. A mon sens, il aurait même dû gagner. Très bon jeu gateway pour les enfants dans l’univers zombie.
