Calico

In pattern-building games, when comparing Harmonies, Sagrada, or Verdant, it seems to me that Calico showcases the most scoring dimensions and strategic planning while maintaining simplicity, making me willing to overlook some of its other flaws.

This is my favorite game. I love that you play your own board and do not have much interaction with the other players other than tile selection. I love the waits to get points through color and pattern. Adding a cat to my quilt is always a happy moment for me. I even created some new cat cards to add more challenge and variety.

Absolutely fantastic gem of a game. It’s deceptively cute while giving a really brain burning challenge. There’s spatial thinking, strategizing, some luck, everything I love. Beautifully crafted, high quality components, and a fantastic rulebook. I will never say no to this game.

One of our family's favorite games. Nice and puzzly, contained, and the rules are straightforward enough for my daughter to play. I also like having multiple objectives to coordinate. Lily Jess

We played almost daily with 2 players for a few months now and it’s still as fun ! It can be either challenging or relaxing depending on what challenges and cats difficulty you chose, which brings a lot of replayability, and the themes and visuals are just too cute. /•᷅•᷄୭The manual comes with a bunch of « scenarios » which you can pick from to try new things and challenge yourself, and an adorable description of each furry friend that got into the game !(ˆ ̳◝ ·̫ ◜ ̳ˆ) Definitely recommended for those who like games that don’t put you in a competitive mood in an aggressive way ฅ^•ω•^ฅ
