Ceylon

Soloable. Ceylon is an attractive, medium light, area majority/pickup and deliver/set collection/variable phase order game. The disproportionate rewards provided by the technology track creates some balance issues, but it is still a fun game.

Wow...this is a beautiful game. It played quickly and smooth and I love taking the follow actions. IT helped make the game feel like there was zero downtime. There can be some harsh luck with card draws that prevent you from getting an action you desperately need. So far I have been very impressed with this title.

For 60-90 min game, there is enough depth of strategy for experienced gamers but with a relatively simple rule for new(ish) gamers. Best as a next step game. Also, the addition of the technology tiles does nicely to mitigate the luck of the card draws.

We cannot wait to play again and have in fact already scheduled a rematch. There are so many little thoughtful and elegant details. What a treat to play a game that leaves you feeling smart even if you didn't win.
