Love this game. One of if not my favorite board game of all time, when including all expansions. It's a flavorful descent into hell with your friends where death is behind the next turn. Still doesn't get old after countless runs.
Such an inspiring adventure! Unique cult horror art style. Smart and diverse stories! Easy and fun dice oriented combat system with lots of decision making! Can be played solo or with a group..! Highly recommend the expansions as well! They introduce new mechanics, while keeping the fun simple and easy to learn and play, as like the base game!! Highly recommended to those who want a fun and fairly quick play session!! Absolutely amazing!
Escape the Dark Castle and Escape the Dark Sector are my two favorite games and have been for a while now. Easy to learn and play, great for new players. The feel of the game reminds me of enjoying watching Knightmare when I was a kid. I love the nostalgic 80's dark fantasy theme and artwork. These are great family games too.
Having a blast playing this game. So far, I have played 10 games...made it to the boss 6 times and won twice on the final roll. I mix the three expansions together with the base game. So much variety and the randomness works so well with the theme. The writing is fantastic and the art work fits perfectly for the game. This is a perfect game to start or end a game night with after playing heavier games with more strategy. Simply a great fun game but you need the right mindset of what to expect and let the game do its magic.
J’ai beaucoup aimé jouer à Escape the Dark Castle ! Certes il ne plaira pas à tout le monde et je vous conseille de bien vous renseigner sur le jeu avant de vous décider à l’acheter, mais si vous êtes friands de jeux de rôles vintage et de jeux solo/duo simples, rapides et pas prise de tête au niveau des règles, ce jeu vous conviendra parfaitement. Le côté vintage plaira aux vieux de la vieille comme moi.
