Kompromat

I am one of the designers of the game. I do tend to rate my games highly (!) but that's because I really love to play them :) In this particular instance though, the 10 is for Helvetiq and especially Felix Kindelan with his striking graphic design - which sets this game apart from practically anything else I've seen. The game is a simple 2 player, face-off - with two layers of push your luck. There's a game of blackjack going on in each round, split over four separate missions - and players are also motivated to collect notoriety tokens, which are worth victory points, but if you get nine of them you lose the game instantly. I know I'm biased, but I find the game engaging, fun, and tense.

Si vous arrivez à passer outre le design du jeu, vous aurez un bon jeu qui reprend la mécanique de stop ou encore du Black Jack. Sa compacité vous permettra de l’emporter dans tous vos déplacements. L’aspect duel du jeu est bien représenté, c’est assez agréable. Il se passe autant de chose entre les deux joueurs que sur la table et vous allez bluffer, mettre la pression avec le regard, ou encore tenter le poker face quand vous dépassez 21. One of the best two player card games in ages, dueling blackjack is a brilliant concept that game me the same "of course!" reaction as playing The Crew's cooperative trick taking for the first time. Each player's card decks have carefully chosen number sequences that absolutely reward card counting and will have you groaning when that 0.5 card causes you to lose an important lane battle.

I would describe it as Black jack on steroids. Very cool Mission cards. Very good tension about the notoriety tokens. very cool small card game. great for travelling or ofter dinner type of game.

Love the push your luck aspect to this. Makes for some fun LOL moments. My non-gamer partner enjoys this as well. Small box and should be in every 2-player gamers collection.
