Simpler. Quicker. Needs less players. All the things I needed to get this to the table more. On top of all that it still provides the same strong game its big brother does. I'll never turn down a game of Captain Sonar, but this will hit the table 10 times more often.
Not as extensive and less chaos as the original version, but a lot of fun if you cannot gather a group of 6-8 players. This one works very well with 3 or 4 players.

Really good family team game. I suggest playing as advertised with one adult and one child on each team. Both my kids loved the hide and seek element of the game and the satisfaction of finding the enemy teams sub. Easily plays within the advertised time of 30 minutes, usually less in my experience.
