Opis
In North Africa, the Long Range Desert Group is a thorn in the sides of the Italian forces, disrupting vital lines of communication and striking at strategic targets ranging far and wide. In Normandy, U.S. forces brace against German counterattack, determined to maintain their foothold in the region. The fighting is intense, and the outcome hangs on a knife's edge. With everything at stake, you desperately need reinforcements! Undaunted: Reinforcements is a modular expansion that introduces a range of new rules, scenarios, and units. Unleash the might of the German and American tanks and see how your new squad options fare against them in Undaunted: Normandy, or make use of mines, assault aircraft, and other new units as you attempt to outfox your opponent in Undaunted: North Africa. Whether you have one Undaunted game or the other, with Reinforcements you can play for the first time in a four-player mode, or test your mettle in a solo mode by Dávid Turczi. Requires a copy of Undaunted: Normandy or Undaunted: North Africa to play.

10 stars, after the first play with 4 players. Really refreshing to play such a fun game, with a low enough rules complexity that everyone is on board just after a few turns. There seems to be plenty of opportunity for repeated play to try out different types of strategies. And it's not very intellectual, it doesn't invite analysis, my mental landscape feels like it's about combat tactics during play. This contrasts it to most other games and contributes to its awesomeness.

The solo mode included in this expansion is simply genius, and undoubtedly sets a presentence for what a good solo bot is. This is a real hall of fame work. Yes, it's not perfect. The AI is a bit clunky sometimes, it's also not trivial to run, and sometimes it fails and goes in circles. But most of the times it works smoothly and is quite a challenge. Not only that: the designers clearly fine tuned the AI for each scenario, and invested a lot of love in it. This is a true masterpiece of solo design. Respect.

How can expansions get better than this? More components, more scenarios and an absolutely fantastic solo module make this an absolute must for any Undaunted aficionado.

Really a 9, like all my other Undaunted ratings, but giving it a 10 for EXCELLENT customer service when dealing with the issue of poor color matching. They fixed me up, and they followed through when shipping went awry.
