What a great game. 10 pages of rules, half of which are very clear examples leads to may parts that interplay very nicely.

My favorite worker placement game! Took me a while to get the hang of it honestly but once I did, I became super interested in the variety of strategy. Lots of replayability here, that's for sure.

This was my favorite game to play in 2020 and will be in my top 10 for the foreseeable future. There is so much to love about this game that the best thing to do is add it to your collection and play it and play it often. I've had this on the table over 20 times now and it's just as much fun as the first time I played it.

This game is criminally underrated, Holy cow is this game fun. There are variable starting powers you can get at the beginning of a game that are very different from each other and fun. It has a polyomino tile laying aspect which you then can place a worker activation machine on top letting you build the worker placements throughout the course of the game. It will never play out the same way and has some cool components. The cards aren't game breaking by any means but can definitely help you out in a pinch.

Whistle Mountain rates a 10 for me because I just think it is a very well thought out, thematic game that looks great on the table, ad is fun to play. There is a lot going on in terms of understanding the nuances of construction and of getting and playing cards, and of managing the movement of your workers across the scaffold, but the variety of opportunities that comes up in the game creates some interesting choices. It is difficult to remember to take advantage of all of your upgrades, but the game gives you an opportunity to synergize your actions for better payouts, and if all players can succeed in creating some bonus points for their actions, it can be a very competitive game.
