Aliens ist ein kooperatives Überlebensspiel, bei dem Sie und Ihr Team von spezialisierten Kolonialmarines sich mit ernsthafter Feuerkraft ausrüsten und nach Hadley's Hope aufbrechen, um Überlebende und Antworten zu finden. Aber du bist nicht allein. Um zu überleben, musst du zusammenarbeiten, ruhig bleiben und wachsam sein, um unermüdlichen Xenomorph-Ambushes zu trotzen und lebend herauszukommen. Die Spieler können bis zu sechs verschiedene Missionen spielen, die sie in verschiedene Bereiche von Hadley’s Hope, der Terraforming-Anlage, bis in die tiefen, dunklen Winkel eines Xenomorph-Nests führen. Aliens bietet auch einen aufregenden Kampagnenmodus, um vier der Missionen miteinander zu verknüpfen, sodass die Spieler unermüdlichen Xenomorph-Angriffen trotzen und sich bis zum Ende der Kampagne am Leben halten müssen. Die verbleibenden zwei Missionen drehen sich rein um das Überleben, es ist töten oder getötet werden. Die Spieler werden mit nichts weiter als einer Pistole ins Spiel geworfen.
