Dreadful Circus

One play. Gifted this for my birthday. Had a great time (though we played it slightly wrong). The offering and reviewing the box contents is just one of my all time favourite mechanics. Not sure how often I'll get to play due to the player count restriction, but will never turn a game down. UPDATE: Now played a few times, including with Faidutti's proposed rule changes. I like it a lot, but balance is still an issue.

Our group really enjoyed this game. The hidden/secret auction combined with the push your luck mechanic as a seller creates a really tense and nuanced gaming experience. It's unlike anything I've played before.The game is great in that it plays a large number (party size) of players but has more weight than a typical party game. The game also has excellent art! Definately recommend, especially for those game groups that have higher player counts ?

October 2021 The auction carts aren't very well thought out. Going to upgrade them somehow. But otherwise a great set collection Auction game.

amended the scoring in accordance with the designer's suggestions; it works well.

This game has a blind bidding mechanic. The interesting thing is the person who looks at the bids and claims one can only look at one bid at a time and select it or not. The catch is you can't refuse a bid and go back to it after seeing the other bids. Not knowing the bids is a sense of thrill and excitement.Is a fun game to play with friends and family…
