Albedo: Space Pirates! features innovations for the Albedo base game like spaceship cards that can be rotated to retrofit them and simultaneous action selection resulting in minimum downtime and a uniform game length. In addition, the expansion includes new planet cards, a new faction, and new mechanisms like the planetary fighter garrison.
The base game is needed in order to use the expansion.
