Amali cursed her arrogance and her foolishness; she should never have gone this deep. Only the Kalites ventured so close to the bottom of the Chasm, and even they preferred to stay higher up. And to think it had all sounded so simple back at the cantina bar: a quick detour to the bottom of the Chasm to find the smugglers’ barge and load the goods.

But nothing is ever simple on Jina.

A faint light cut through the green haze in the air: a grav‑transport, finally! A moment later she heard gravel shifting a few steps below in the fog, and fear froze her in place. What if the stories were true? What if djinn really lived at the bottom of the Chasm? She braced herself for the worst and looked down: nothing. She let out a shaky breath and tried to stop trembling. Maybe it would be an easy job after all.

But nothing is ever simple on Jina.

The acidic planet Jina is widely regarded as an unlivable pit. Even so, a stubborn mining colony known as Aram’s Crevasse endures beneath the heavy shroud of corrosive clouds. Nearly all travelers and merchants passing through the region prefer to visit the luxurious resort moon Cala Duriha, and only the most desperate descend into the toxic atmosphere to reach the Crevasse. Fate, however, forces the PCs to land on the planet, where the mysteries soon deepen.
