Descripción Descripción
"Even as I spoke, an immense shape Materialised in the night air, Grotesque and enormous stature With heavy jowls, and an unkempt beard Scowling from shrunken, hollow eyes Its complexion earthy and pale, Its hair grizzled and matted with clay, Its mouth coal black, teeth yellow with decay." — Camões, The Lusiads Canto V. Adamastor is a Whimsical Competitive Boardgame for 2-6 players where each player will control a small number of horrible sea monsters that live in the deapths of the sea, where the Atlantic meets the Indian Ocean. Players will fight amongst each other to be the one that gets to skink the very unfortunate caravels that atempt to cross the Cape of Torments. With 2 players each player controls 3 monsters; with 3 players each controls 2 Monsters; and with 4,5 or 6 players, players will team up into 3 teams of 2 two monsters. The objective of the game Adamastor is to have your team of Monsters become ruler of the sea (most victory points at the end of the game). Players score victory points either sinking the portuguese fleet or by slaying other sea monsters. When a Monster manages to skin a large ship it gains a new ability card that provide more monstrous skills and additional victory points. Adamastor is a card-driven simultaneous action selection game where in each round players will simultaneously choose and resolve cards to move and to attack with each of their sea monsters. There is almost zero downtime in this game as players are constantly involved in a tense combat for control of the oceans.
