Opis
Szachy to abstrakcyjna gra planszowa dla dwóch graczy, która przedstawia średniowieczną wojnę na planszy 8x8 z naprzemiennymi jasnymi i ciemnymi polami. Przeciwnikujące sobie figury, tradycyjnie oznaczone jako białe i czarne, są początkowo ustawione po obu stronach. Każdy typ figury ma unikalną formę ruchu, a bicie następuje, gdy figura, poruszając się, zajmuje pole figury przeciwnika. Gracze na przemian poruszają jedną ze swoich figur, starając się zdobyć, zaatakować, bronić lub rozwijać swoje pozycje. Partie szachowe mogą kończyć się szach-matem, rezygnacją lub jednym z kilku rodzajów remisu. Szachy to jedna z najpopularniejszych gier na świecie, w którą grają miliony ludzi na całym świecie w domach, klubach, online, korespondencyjnie i w turniejach.
