Call To Adventure: Epic Origins

I love this game so much. Great solo, coop and competitive game. Quick to table and teach. Not too easy but not too complicated. Hits a sweet spot for me! Usually i prefer big miniature area control games so this was a bit out of my alley but it's been a while since I felt so excited about a game.

PHENOMENAL! Just as good as the first one. There were some elements removed that I miss but they have some GREAT improvements too that balance it out. Such an amazing game series.

Genuinely fun. The Origin/Class/Destiny/ Adversary cards do the heavy lifting for the play session in terms of diversity and strategy. The Adversaries shift it so you're playing 'with' everyone instead of against, like so many of these games rely on. There's also something innately satisfying about stories and you're watching your character's story play out before you. I'll also add a card from mine came damaged but the Customer Support team got me a other one. Most companies wouldn't have bothered and the good ones deserved to be recognized.

An excellent stand-alone expansion to my favorite board game. On its own, the new card types, fantasy elements, and campaign-style gameplay improve on an already great game. Combining it with the original adds another level of enjoyment and adventure.

A stand alone expansion that is essentially a better version of the base game with some tweaking and extras added in. If you liked the original, get this and mix them (or leave it separate), if you're going to jump in, jump in here. Everything about my review of the original game applies except with slight improvements to balance and a more customizable start.
