The play is light enough not to stress out family, the gimmick intrigues every time, the board control is just enough to keep this from being really basic set collection, and about the only thing everyone hates is the production. The cards seriously suck, especially the portal cards: they aren't perfectly square, they don't shuffle well, and they stick too easy to some tables. The score tracker is too small for tokens! Outside of the production, this game has done well with literally everyone I've ever shown it to, and the theme is more exciting than Splendor. I'm a fan.
