Minecraft: Builders & Biomes

Amazing game. Player must figure out the strategy in order to win by the end of the 3rd round. Minecraft theme is implemented very well. Not for smallest kids I say 8+. Personally, I didn't like the extension since its ruining the excellent balance.

Honestly, a fun time. I have played real Minecraft a total of about 58 mins. However, this game is just a fun game. I think the tableau builder aspect along with the varying round ends is incredible. Maybe my table wasn't playing it right, but the way we played it made it an insanely competitive game. Definitely right up my ally. Sort of reminded my of Suburbia, which is also a top game of all time. The theme isn't something I am too enthusiastic about tbh, but the bloks are fun no matter what for me. it isn't perfect, but it was quite good. I didn't see a dog token which I could pick up, that is a bit unfortunate

Absolutely love this game. It is shockingly well designed for a licensed game. The best part is that the mechanics are still very clearly tied into the Minecraft theme. The rules aren't super well written and very poorly laid out (so much negative space). There are a lot of superfluous pieces to avoid localization. The scoring is pretty difficult to explain. Once you get into it though, it's fantastic.

I thought this was going to be a "milking the theme" game in which turns out to be a crap game with a known theme. But it turns out to be a decent stand alone game aside from the fact that it is Minecraft themed. In which also adds a better aspect if you play minecraft. I play it with my 4, 6, and 8 year olds. They like playing it with me. They cannot strategize obviously, but they like the Minecraft theme. The only thing that i feel could be enhanced (aside from the Farmers market expansion) is the addition of more players. Which you might be able to modify by buying a second copy of the base game.

Moederdag-geschenkje (8/5/2022) voor Kristel. This is SO underrated. Sure you have to like drawings made out of pixels, but it's such a clever game. Strategy plays a big part but it's also tactical.
