Fort!

Well, this is surprisingly good game. It feels clunky and a bit weird at first, but after about 10 plays I can say that it does not have problems with 'control' other reviewers blaming it for. Draft at the beginning helps a lot. Cat and dogs expansion completes it as a very pleasant little game that plays well even for two players

Such an exciting little game! Simple but not really... I love the unique rules and the design. The game has everything that you need from a solid play: strategy, twists of action, engagement out of your turn, bonuses worth scoring and with cats & dogs, really cool additional mechanics that give you other ways to win or lose. Juego de creación de mazos donde llevamos a un grupo de niños a construir un fuerte. Obtendremos recursos para invertirlos en nuestro fuerte mientras engordamos turno a turno nuestro mazo. Lo mas característico es que los niños (cartas) no siempre perduraran en nuestras manos, pues otros jugadores podrán llevarse las cartas que no hemos (o no hemos querido) jugar durante nuestros turnos. Los turnos son rápidos y las partidas de corta duración. 2 jug - 3 jug - 4 jug

Fort is the perfect combination of theme & mechanics. We love this little gem so much. Every card has so much character. The different phases just drip with theme. I expect we will never get tired of Fort. Thanks to the "Cats & dogs" expansion we surely never will.

My wife and I learned to play this during last winter’s holiday vacation. After first play we were hooked. Second and third plays left us saying how about another play right now. This game forces you to make tough decisions between what to play to advance your score or playing defense to keep opponent from getting certain cards from your yard. Masterpiece. i believe best player count by far is 2. Be careful not to fall into the trap of building fort as only strategy. My wife beats me with various victory point combos. Even if I have a private fort up card like moose.
