Didn't know what to expect with this one as it was a last minute impulse buy. Well it was a good impulse. Colorful, quick and easy to play Tetris inspired game. Loved it.

I love this straight-up-tetris game, it is beautifully produced and has just a light brain requirement, plus you can play solo and I’m sure you could play over zoom and at the same time pretend you are attending a pre-covid street party and rejoice in the dancing and the people-being-close thing.

Lightweight Tetris-like polyomino filler game, really fun and engaging. Gorgeous and cute art, well-implemented mechanics. Great game for the price and complexity - don't expect a mind-blowing experience, just loads of fun.

Tetris: The Board Game. But seriously if you've been wanting to play Tetris in board game form this one definitely scratches that itch. So simple that newbies to the hobby can easily pick it up and have a solid chance of winning, and yet... After 20+ plays I'm still learning how to balance greed (I want all 3 tiles every turn!!!) with creating perfect-fitting combos of tiles*. *Did I mention it's Tetris?

I got this impulsively at Ollie's for pretty cheap, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. I saw it had polyominoes in it, but I didn’t realize that it was actually very similar to the Tetris game itself. In fact, I would rather play this than the Tetris board game that we have. Gameplay is smoother and more fun. The theme is a Portuguese street party, and you place the puzzle pieces on your board to attract as many party visitors as you can. As you complete lines (again, like Tetris), you get bonus visitors and the space that you have to work with increases. I like this one a lot.
