Preferred player count: 3/4/5/6/7 Average playtime: 45m What applies to Cartographers also applies to Cartographers: Heroes: it’s highly accessible while still offering plenty of depth and interesting decisions. I especially enjoy the new monsters, which are a clear improvement over the base game, and the added objectives are a welcome expansion. The heroes themselves, however, don’t fully work for me. Their timing can feel awkward, and the mechanic never quite clicked. I generally prefer mixing objectives from both sets and choosing whichever exploration deck best suits the occasion.

An improvement upon an already amazing game. I would never play Cartographers without including heroes in the card deck, which really helps mitigate the "take that" power of the monster spaces. This expansion also includes another pad of sheets that add more plays and additional ambush cards that add some more variability. Always included. Rating: The Best • 10/10

This game adds more to the base game in the right way, where the choices don't feel as obvious; but playing this has also made me enjoy the base game more too! Thanks Cartographers for being a great game ;)

I always combine this and the Cartographers together. Gives more options. I do find it bit annoying though that the "goblins" are not really explained that well in the rules. This is one point that needs to be fixed as there was some confusion about few of the characteristics of some goblins and their abilities.

Esta expansión independiente incluye cartas héroe con las que se puede eliminar monstruos o proteger una zona. Me encanta que las cartas emboscada sean más dinámicas que su predecesor. Echo en falta las cartas de ruinas. Aún así, es un juegazo y es imposible jugar a una sola partida.
