While trade thrives on Catan, the residents are driven by the desire for discovery. So the sailors raise anchor and set sail with their ships to explore the surrounding islands and make new discoveries. On the islands, the new resource - gold - is discovered, creating new trading opportunities. Further adventures and challenges await in the Seafarers expansion, which opens up numerous new possibilities in the game with few rules.
