I liked the Hogwarts Battle enough I decided to get the expansion. It's fun to open new boxes, but it isn't as magical as the base game. The game adds some negative things to your deck but also ways to trim your deck. The game is still wonky ranging from super easy to impossible. And the end is always anticlimactic. I guess I was hoping this expansion would fix that.
The expansion is awesome! I love playing with Luna. And the new stories are making the game a little bit more challenging
Nice addition to our current favorite pandemic distraction game. We have no complaints about this expansion. It settles right in and feels at home.
This expansion adds difficulty but is offset by the leniency of the Charms expansion so it balanced out. The scenarios were good, and the addition of the new creature types and detentions added more depth to the game. If I had to pick one expansion I would choose the Charms expansion over this one, but it's still a solid expansion that adds more replayability to the core game.
Adds difficult beast and a new encounter feature (similar to the horcruxes). The rule book also adds a recommended challenge mode with EVERYTHING. Awesome expansion, I would highly recommend getting this if you own the original.
