Beschreibung

In Melee viaggerete in un regno in tumulto a causa della morte del sovrano. Un gruppo di intraprendenti baroni, tra cui voi, sono in lizza per la successione, combattendo l'un con l'altro a colpi di dominio militare ed economico. Per vincere, dovrete essere i primi a riuscire a catturare il castello di un avversario, oppure risultare i più ricchi al termine del gioco. Soldi e spadate sono l'unico modo per far valere i vostri diritti nella successione al trono. All'inizio, grazie ad un rapido meccanismo di draft, comporrete la vostra mano di risorse iniziali, dopodiché, nel corso delle quattro stagioni di gioco dovrete pianificare attentamente la vostra strategia di gioco per sovrastare i vostri avversari militarmente, oppure per resistere abbastanza a lungo da risultare il più ricco al termine dell'anno.

I adore this game. The game is advertised as nasty, brutish, and short. That's accurate yet incomplete: it's also fun. This is not for everyone, but it was my favorite new game from 2015, and my groups have really enjoyed this. Neat little capture the flag game. Territory is exchanged through an ingenious bidding and bluffing system.

This is quite an excellent fast tactics game. The combat mechanism is novel, effective, and appealing. The various special powers give the game decent replayability. Great filler game to scratch the combat itch in 20 minutes. Only played 2P so far, but looking forward to 4p

A charming game that takes very little time to play, will appeal to wargamers and novices alike, and has a completely unique take on attacking/ defending. If you're expecting or wanting a more traditional wargame, stay away. If you're looking for a party game that happens to involve war, then you may enjoy it a lot. Fits nicely as a palette cleanser between playing other games on a long game night!

Should be as big as Coup. It is actually nonironically brilliant - the thing holding it back is the rules teach is like 5-8 minutes then when you play it's 15-20 min. That feels a bit strange. Coup also front loads the rules teach similarly, but a hand of Coup takes no time at all so you just repeat play it over and over. This game it is EXACTLY the length where you might teach, play it, everyone finally understands the game, whoop everyone has got-to go LOL. It sits at precisely the wrong length for both a filler and a "main event" game. I guess you could play first-to-two and make it a "main event" game that way?
